As the economy grows and demand for high‑quality human resources rises, links between enterprises and higher‑education institutions—especially universities—play a crucial role in improving training quality and meeting practical labor‑market needs. One notable model is the cooperation between the Faculty of Finance & Banking, University of Finance & Marketing, and insurance enterprises.

Cooperation with insurance enterprises enables the Faculty of Finance & Banking to provide students with practical knowledge, skills, and the latest industry trends. With their experience and expertise, insurers share real‑world cases, risk‑management strategies, and effective financial‑analysis methods—while also creating internship and job opportunities for students early on.

In recent years, the Faculty of Finance & Banking in general and the Banking Department in particular have continuously promoted cooperation with leading insurance companies. Insurers organize seminars and forums on new insurance trends, challenges, and opportunities. To encourage outstanding students, enterprises also sponsor annual scholarships and awards—motivating students and contributing to improved training quality.

In Semester 1/2025, major insurers in Ho Chi Minh City such as Chubb Life, Manulife, and Aviation Insurance actively accompanied the Faculty’s cooperation program—receiving 100% of K22 students for practicum visits at enterprises.

These site visits not only give students a realistic view of the insurance workplace but also create opportunities to meet experts and learn valuable experience from top enterprises in the industry—helping students better understand processes, business strategies, and services in insurance.

Cooperation between insurance enterprises and the Faculty of Finance & Banking, University of Finance & Marketing, is a win‑win model that benefits students, the university, and enterprises. Students are equipped with solid knowledge and real‑world exposure—boosting employability after graduation—while insurers can identify and recruit potential talent, contributing to the development of Vietnam’s insurance industry.
