SPECIALIZED REPORT: “FINTECH AND APPLICATIONS IN THE FINANCE–BANKING SECTOR”

With approval from the University Board of Rectors, on Saturday morning, 28/09/2024, the Faculty of Finance & Banking held an online specialized talk titled “Fintech and Applications in the Finance–Banking Sector” on Microsoft Teams.

The talk covered Fintech investment trends; Fintech in lending and investment; e‑wallets; InsurTech; and more. With clear and engaging explanations, the speaker captured students’ attention. Many pertinent questions from students were answered in detail, clarifying theoretical issues as well as Fintech applications in the Finance–Banking field.

 

Fintech is one of the inevitable products of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. Its participation has significantly transformed activities in Vietnam’s Finance–Banking sector. Therefore, in the near future, the Faculty of Finance & Banking will incorporate Fintech into the curriculum to enhance practical applicability—moving toward technological solutions in areas related to Finance–Banking such as banking services, finance, data analytics, securities, and insurance.

At the end of the session, Dr. Pham Nguyen Anh Huy provided a comprehensive perspective on financial‑technology trends, encouraging students to further explore the potential of Fintech and Blockchain. The talk was practical and useful, equipping students not only with the latest Fintech knowledge but also with skills necessary to seize career opportunities in modern finance.
