HDBank partners with the School of Financial and Banking Technology to host the “Unlock Your Banking Career – Unlock Your Career with HDBank Future Banker” Seminar
On August 15, 2026, as part of the 4th School of Financial and Banking Technology Recruitment Fair, the School of Financial and Banking Technology, under the University of Finance – Marketing, collaborated with the Ho Chi Minh City Development Joint Stock Commercial Bank (HDBank) to organize a seminar entitled “Unlock Your Banking Career – Unlock Your Career with HDBank Future Banker.”
Amid the rapid transformation of the finance and banking sector, driven by technological advancement, digital transformation, and growing demand for high-quality human resources, students need to develop more than a solid foundation of professional knowledge. They must also proactively enhance their skills, gain practical insights into the corporate environment, and identify a career path aligned with their abilities and aspirations. Recognizing these needs, the seminar was organized to strengthen university–industry collaboration while providing students with practical perspectives on the workplace, recruitment requirements, and career development opportunities in the banking sector.
Representing the School of Financial and Banking Technology were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi My Linh, Director of the IBFT; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thi Kim Oanh, Deputy Director of the IBFT; department heads, faculty members, and many students. HDBank was represented by Mr. Ngo Quoc Hung, Recruitment Director and Branch Director; Ms. Nong Thi Thuy Duong; and representatives from various departments.

In her opening remarks, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi My Linh expressed her appreciation to HDBank for partnering with the Institute to organize this practical and meaningful program for students. She emphasized the importance of university–industry collaboration in higher education, noting that such activities provide students with valuable opportunities to gain real-world professional insights, understand labor market expectations, and better prepare themselves for their future careers while still at university.

Continuing the program, Mr. Ngo Quoc Hung, Recruitment Director at HDBank, shared practical insights into the bank’s recruitment needs and the qualities and competencies it seeks in young talent in the finance and banking sector. From a recruiter’s perspective, he provided students with a clearer understanding of the expectations regarding professional knowledge, job-related skills, and workplace attitudes, while highlighting the importance of proactivity, adaptability, and continuous learning in a corporate environment.

In addition to recruitment and career guidance, Ms. Nong Thi Thuy Duong, an HDBank representative, introduced the bank’s organizational profile, working environment, corporate culture, and career development opportunities for students and young professionals. The information provided students with a clearer understanding of the realities of working in the banking sector, helping them identify their career goals and develop appropriate career pathways.
A key highlight of the seminar was the introduction of the “HDBANK FUTURE BANKER 2026” program, a nationwide initiative for high-potential interns. Students were provided with essential information about internship opportunities, the application process, candidate requirements, and potential career development pathways at HDBank. The program offers students an opportunity to engage in the corporate environment at an early stage, gain practical experience, and enhance their readiness to enter the labor market after graduation.

Notably, as part of the event, HDBank presented a scholarship worth VND 50,000,000 to the School of Financial and Banking Technology. This initiative reflects HDBank’s commitment to supporting the education and development of young talent and further strengthens the partnership between the business and academic sectors in creating opportunities for students to learn, develop their skills, and pursue their career aspirations.

Through direct interaction with HDBank representatives, students gained not only valuable information about internship and recruitment opportunities but also a deeper understanding of the practical expectations of the labor market in the banking and finance sector. The seminar also provided students with an opportunity to assess their own level of preparation and identify areas for further development, enabling them to proactively strengthen their professional knowledge and skills while shaping a suitable career path.
The “Unlock Your Banking Career – Unlock Your Career with HDBank Future Banker” seminar was successfully organized, contributing to stronger collaboration between the School of Financial and Banking Technology and HDBank in education and human resource development. The program not only provided students with practical information about the workplace, internships, and recruitment opportunities but also facilitated direct engagement with industry professionals, enabling students to gain greater clarity about their career aspirations and proactively prepare for their future careers.
