86% of layoffs due to slow tech adaptation – A global wake‑up call
At the seminar, experts cited notable figures: according to Challenger, Gray & Christmas, Inc. (USA), in September 2025 alone, 86% of layoffs were due to slow technology adaptation, especially in enterprises adopting artificial intelligence (AI).
Mr. Tran Huyen Dinh, Head of the Fintech Applications Committee of the Vietnam Blockchain & Digital Asset Association and CEO of AlphaTrue, said 2025 marks a milestone in the global crypto‑asset market, with total capitalization surpassing USD 4,000 billion for the first time and over 716 million users—up 16% from 2024. Stablecoins alone reached a total transaction volume of USD 46,000 billion, comparable to major payment systems such as Visa and ACH, indicating that crypto‑assets are steadily integrating into traditional finance. He emphasized that Vietnam is among the seven countries with the highest crypto‑asset ownership rates and is benefiting from open government policies such as Resolution 05/2025/NQ‑CP piloting a crypto‑asset market and the Digital Technology Industry Law. These legal frameworks, he noted, underpin Vietnam’s entry into the era of digital finance integration and open new career opportunities in fintech, risk management, technology law, and digital product development.

In parallel, LinkedIn 2025 records AI skills growing five times faster than other skills. According to Mr. Nguyen Dang Chi, Lecturer at ABAII: “AI does not replace humans; it forces humans to become better than themselves.”

Education – The foundation for unlocking the digital mindset
Speaking at the event, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Thi Thuy Hang, Deputy Director of the Institute of Finance & Banking Technology (UFM), emphasized: “Universities must become places that spark innovative thinking, cultivate digital competencies and adaptability skills. Linking universities – enterprises – technology associations is an inevitable direction in training human resources for the new era.”
The ABAII Unitour 2025 program exemplifies this spirit—helping students access practical technology early, understand the roles of AI, Blockchain, and FinTech in future careers, and build a mindset of “lifelong learning – learning to create.”

What do businesses say about digital talent?
From a business perspective, Mr. Vo Thanh Thien Toan, Technology Director of Decom Stars Joint Stock Company, shared: “AI is not just a support tool, but is reshaping the entire business operating model. Students need to learn how to think like a data analyst – understand the system, know how to ask questions and solve real problems.”
Meanwhile, Ms. Le Ngoc My Tien, CEO and Co-founder of BlockchainWork, emphasized: “Employers today highly value candidates with product thinking and the ability to turn technology into value. Students should build their personal brand through real projects, not just through transcripts.”

The panel “New Career Opportunities in the Flow of Digital Transformation” drew special attention from UFM students.
Shift the mindset to lead the future
The seminar conveyed a clear message: “Technology does not take away jobs from people – it is stagnation that makes people eliminated.” The young generation needs to move from “learning to know” → “learning to do” → “learning to create and start a business.” Only by continuously learning, adapting and innovating, students will have the capacity to lead the future of their careers in the AI era. UFM – Bridge of knowledge, technology and business
Through the ABAII Unitour 2025 seminar, the University of Finance & Marketing affirmed its pioneering role in training high‑quality human resources with digital competencies and a global mindset.
The event was not only academic but also a sustainable platform connecting universities – enterprises – associations toward developing modern, creative, and globally integrated Vietnamese talent.
