GRAND FINAL OF THE “STUDENT SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH – FACULTY OF FINANCE & BANKING – 1ST EDITION” 2024
On the morning of Saturday, May 18, 2024, at the University of Finance and Marketing, campus 778, Nguyen Kiem, Ho Chi Minh City, the Final round of the "Student Scientific Research Competition of the Faculty of Finance - Banking, Round 1" took place successfully.
The “Student Scientific Research – Faculty of Finance & Banking, 1st Edition” is an academic competition on scientific research organized by the Faculty of Finance & Banking (FFB) to enhance and supplement students’ knowledge, enabling a comprehensive understanding of scientific research, its importance and impact; while providing complementary orientations that motivate and inspire each student.
Among the guests and sponsors were Ms. Bui Thi Thao Nguyen – Training Consultant at SMART TRAIN; Mr. Nguyen An Huy – representative of FIDT JSC; and Mr. Do Hai Vuong – Director of Kim Nhung TOEIC Language Center.

From the Faculty of Finance & Banking, University of Finance & Marketing, attendees included Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi My Linh – Dean of the Faculty; Dr. Tran Thi Thanh Nga – Head of Monetary Finance & Insurance; Dr. Tran Thi Kim Oanh – Deputy Head of Monetary Finance & Insurance; and Dr. Nguyen Minh Phuc – Deputy Head of Corporate Finance; together with supervising lecturers and students interested in research.
The Judging Panel comprised lecturers and researchers with strong expertise and extensive experience in scientific research. The five judges were: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi My Linh (Dean – Chair); Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Tuan Duy (Faculty of Economics & Law – Member); Dr. Nguyen Minh Phuc (Deputy Head of Corporate Finance – Member); Dr. Tran Thi Thanh Nga (Head of Monetary Finance & Insurance – Member); and Dr. Nguyen Xuan Dung (Lecturer in Banking – Secretary).
In his directive remarks, Vice Rector Dr. Pham Quoc Viet emphasized the importance of student research; commended students’ research spirit and supervisors’ dedication; and noted that many topics were thoroughly invested and of high quality, with several already published in reputable domestic and international journals.

In the opening speech at the contest, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Thi My Linh - Head of the Faculty of Finance and Banking reported on the results of student scientific research activities of the Faculty of Finance and Banking and opened the contest.

In the competition, the Top 6 teams presented in three parts: a team introduction video, a presentation of their research, and a Q&A with the judges. With strong teamwork, the teams delivered impressive presentations that received enthusiastic support from the audience. In the final results, 6 finalist teams were awarded 1 First Prize, 2 Second Prizes, and 3 Third Prizes; in addition, 4 teams in the Top 10 (not competing in the final) received Consolation Prizes.
