SEMINAR “INNOVATING TEACHING METHODS AND TEACHING TOOLS”
To improve training quality and meet society’s increasing demand for knowledgeable human resources with solid practical skills and the ability to apply technology in real‑world workplaces, the Faculty of Finance & Banking (UFM) consistently prioritizes innovation in teaching methods and professional development for lecturers.
In that spirit, on Thursday afternoon, 07/08/2025, at Room B001 – 778 Nguyen Kiem Campus, Ho Chi Minh City, the Faculty of Finance & Banking organized a thematic seminar titled “Innovating Teaching Methods and Teaching Tools,” creating a forum for academic exchange, sharing modern teaching methods, and applying IT in specialized courses such as Corporate Financial Analysis and Credit Appraisal—thereby improving teaching–learning quality and overall educational effectiveness. The seminar received special attention and guidance from the Board of Rectors, with the participation of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Quoc Viet, Vice‑Rector.
The seminar was honored to feature two experienced speakers in IT applications for finance–banking: Mr. Nguyen Huu Thuc – Deputy Director of Sales, in charge of Southeast Asia, Trustify Technology Holding Co., Ltd.; and Mr. Le Hoang Long – Director of Thu Duc Corporate Customer Center, Deputy Director of Ho Chi Minh City Branch, Vietnam Maritime Commercial Joint Stock Bank (MSB).
- Mr. Nguyen Huu Thuc – Deputy Director of Sales, in charge of Southeast Asia, Trustify Technology Holding Co., Ltd.: Practical applications of AI ChatGPT in Corporate Finance and Financial Analysis.
- Mr. Le Hoang Long – Director, Thu Duc Corporate Customer Center; Deputy Director, Ho Chi Minh City Branch, Vietnam Maritime Commercial Joint Stock Bank (MSB): Applying AI ChatGPT in practical credit appraisal at commercial banks.
In the opening remarks, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi My Linh stressed that innovating teaching methods is no longer a trend but a mandatory requirement in higher education—especially in practice‑oriented disciplines like finance–banking. Effective use of IT tools not only helps learners access knowledge more easily but also develops independent thinking, analytical skills, and adaptability to modern workplaces. “Today’s seminar is an opportunity to share experiences and showcase methods and tools that have been effectively applied—particularly in highly practical courses such as Corporate Financial Analysis and Credit Appraisal. I sincerely thank Mr. Thuc and Mr. Long for sharing, and I hope for active participation in the discussion so that the seminar becomes a source of innovative ideas, spreading academic spirit and practical application to enhance our Faculty’s training quality in the context of digital transformation and educational integration.”
