Education and scientific research are two tasks of great importance for every university. For university lecturers, teaching and scientific research are also core, mutually reinforcing duties. Scientific research not only helps lecturers broaden their knowledge but also enables the application of theory to teaching practice, thereby improving training quality. Therefore, with the desire to promote scientific research activities, enhance research capacity, and improve the quality of research outputs at the University of Finance – Marketing in general and the Faculty of Finance – Banking (FFB) in particular, the Faculty organized a Seminar with the theme “Sharing Research Results and Research Orientations” on Monday morning, 06/05/2024, at the 778 Nguyen Kiem campus, Ho Chi Minh City. The seminar served as a forum to share, exchange, and discuss experience, results, and research directions, giving faculty members an opportunity for mutual learning, strengthening research capacity and sharing research orientations; it also contributed to fostering solidarity within the Faculty.

The seminar was attended by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi My Linh, Dean of the Faculty; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Thi Thuy Hang, Vice Dean; and many lecturers of the Faculty of Finance – Banking.

The seminar featured sharing on research results and future directions across three presentations: (1) “The Impact of Fiscal Policy on Environmental Protection in Association with Economic Growth in Vietnam,” presented by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi My Linh on behalf of the research team; (2) “Asymmetric Effects of International Trade and Investment on Economic Growth—Empirical Evidence in Vietnam,” presented by MSc. Nguyen Xuan Dung on behalf of the research team; and (3) “The Impact of Liquidity Creation on the Financial Stability of Commercial Banks in Vietnam—A Quantile Regression Approach,” presented by MSc. Nguyen Thi My Linh on behalf of the research team.

In addition, the seminar included exchanges on research experience, topic selection, and new research directions, as well as sharing of difficulties and obstacles encountered during research by the authors, together with questions from guests and lecturers.
