SCIENTIFIC SEMINAR: CRYPTOCURRENCY AND FUTURE TRENDS
On 28/08/2025, the Institute of Finance & Banking Technology, University of Finance & Marketing, organized an online scientific seminar on “Cryptocurrency and Future Trends.” The program was hosted on MS Teams with the participation of the Institute’s leadership, lecturers, and interested guests.
The seminar aimed to:
- Update new knowledge and global trends in cryptocurrency within the context of digital finance.
- Compare and contrast developmental logic between fiat money and cryptocurrency.
- Create opportunities for lecturers to directly exchange with leading experts.
- Contribute to enhancing research thinking, learning, and teaching in finance–banking.
The speaker, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Lam Chi Dung – Senior Lecturer, former Dean of Banking, University of Economics – University of Danang – presented and analyzed four key themes:
- Classical foundational concepts.
- The evolutionary logic of the monetary system – revolutionary changes.
- The nature and characteristics of cryptocurrency.
- Future trends of cryptocurrency, especially in the Vietnamese context.
The discussion and Q&A were lively, with many comments from lecturers and students on the impact of cryptocurrency on the economy, as well as opportunities and challenges for Vietnam.
The program not only provided foundational knowledge and practical perspectives but also opened new research directions in digital finance. It was an opportunity for lecturers and researchers to update information and connect knowledge, thereby contributing to improving the Institute’s training and research quality.
