With the aim of improving training quality, meeting the growing demands of the labor market, and strengthening school–business linkages, at 8:30 a.m. on 03/03/2025 in Hall B.001 at the main campus (778 Nguyen Kiem, Phu Nhuan District, HCMC), the Faculty of Finance & Banking, University of Finance & Marketing held a Faculty‑level roundtable titled: “Feedback on Implementing Practicum 2 for K23 and K24 students in programs under the Faculty of Finance & Banking.”

The roundtable received eight papers from Faculty lecturers, featuring major proposals on content implementation and assessment methods in THNN2.

  • Paper “Practice contents aligned with industry trends” by Dr. Tran Thi Thanh Nga emphasized designing practice contents aligned with sectoral trends—from digital banking and insurtech to fintech—where students not only observe but also engage in simulations and real‑world case handling to build professional skills.
  • Paper “Improving assessment of practicum reports” by Dr. Nguyen Minh Phuc proposed process‑based evaluation instead of relying solely on final deliverables: internship logs, progress reports, and feedback from lecturers and enterprises better capture each student’s competence and effort.
  • Paper “Trends in assessing intern competencies in Finance–Banking” by Dr. Nguyen Xuan Dung suggested outcome‑based rubrics, 360‑degree evaluation (lecturer–enterprise–student), and digital integration via e‑portfolio and AI tools.

A lively discussion followed, proposing solutions grounded in teaching practice.

“The roundtable clarified key improvements for Practicum 2—particularly industry‑aligned content and comprehensive student assessment. The Faculty will work closely with enterprises to enhance internship quality and give students more effective real‑world experience. We look forward to continued contributions from lecturers, students, and partners to refine the program and ensure graduates are job‑ready.”

Lecturers actively discussed and contributed feedback to the roundtable.

Closing the roundtable, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi My Linh appreciated the heartfelt opinions and papers, affirming its success and the positive momentum for internship reform in the Faculty.
