ESTABLISHMENT OF THE INSTITUTE OF FINANCE & BANKING TECHNOLOGY
On 27/08/2025, with the attendance of Dr. Cao Tan Huy, Party Committee Secretary; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Tien Dat, Rector; members of the Board of Rectors; leaders of offices/departments/institutes; and all lecturers and staff of the Faculty of Finance & Banking, the University held a Conference to announce Resolution No. 198/NQ‑DHTCM‑HDT of the University Council on renaming the Faculty of Finance & Banking to the Institute of Finance & Banking Technology, together with the Rector’s personnel decisions. This marks an important milestone, reflecting a new step forward in the University’s strategy for training, research, and international integration.
According to the Resolution, the Institute of Finance & Banking Technology will be consolidated in terms of organizational structure, functions, and duties, aligning with the orientation to innovate the university‑governance model. The Institute is responsible for implementing modern training programs, promoting scientific research, transferring technology, and strengthening international cooperation in finance–banking, especially financial‑technology applications.
The establishment of the Institute not only enhances the training quality of highly qualified finance–banking human resources but also affirms the University of Finance & Marketing’s commitment to meeting labor‑market demands amid digital transformation and global integration.
Building on the foundation of the former Faculty of Finance & Banking, the Institute of Finance & Banking Technology will continue to leverage its strengths, affirm its position as a reputable training and research unit, and become an important bridge between the university, enterprises, and society in modern finance.
At the same time, the University announced the Rector’s personnel decisions for the Institute as follows:
