Ho Chi Minh City – April 2025 – Within the framework of the Professional Practice program, the Faculty of Finance and Banking, University of Finance and Marketing (UFM) cooperated with Phu Hung Securities Company to organize a field trip and practical study for 3rd and final year students. This is an outstanding activity within the strategy of expanding business cooperation, linking training with practice, aiming to build a team of professional finance and securities human resources, ready for integration.

Hands-on experience at the market analysis center

At Phu Hung Securities, students directly visited key functional units—from the simulated trading floor and brokerage division to the technical analysis area. Specialists guided students to use the electronic price board, place simulated orders, and recognize common technical indicators in investment analysis—clarifying how the stock market operates in practice.

Connecting training – practice – recruitment

The Practicum at Phu Hung Securities left many positive impressions. Beyond real-world learning, it opened pathways for internships, collaboration, and recruitment. The Faculty will continue to deepen cooperation with finance–securities partners to advance an application-, integration-, and specialization-oriented training model.

Career prospects and sustainable cooperation

PHS’s support goes beyond facilitating site visits; it also opens diverse career-development opportunities through specialized talks, internship programs, and direct recruitment—helping students access a professional environment and learn from seasoned experts.

In the long run, the Faculty of Finance & Banking and Phu Hung Securities aim to build a sustainable strategic partnership in which the enterprise acts as a training partner—co‑developing practice‑aligned curricula, training job skills, and supporting access to quality employment opportunities.

This is a model partnership between higher education and industry, contributing to a generation of finance–securities graduates with solid expertise, strong practical skills, and a global integration mindset.

Practice-linked training – The “three-legged stool” model among enterprise, university, and students

Cultivating proactiveness and job‑readiness upon graduation is a core training philosophy at UFM. As labor markets become more competitive, the tripartite “enterprise–university–student” model effectively advances high‑quality human‑resource development in Vietnam.

At UFM, real‑world enterprise experience is not just supplementary but a “must‑learn” element in students’ professional formation—each visit brings students closer to real workplaces, procedures, and the skills and social capabilities needed for success.

Specifically for finance–banking–insurance, the Faculty has built a structured practicum program helping students experience concrete job roles and departmental functions so they understand job requirements and can envision their own career paths.

The program is designed with a “learn to do” spirit—ensuring content is practical and engaging, narrowing the gap between theory and practice, and boosting adaptability and integration after graduation.
