SHARING KNOWLEDGE – CULTIVATING HUMANISTIC VALUES: GREEN ACTIONS FROM THE PARTY CELL OF THE FACULTY OF FINANCE & BANKING
In response to the contest “Together with HTV for Green Action”—a program organized by Ho Chi Minh City Television (HTV) to spread the spirit of acting for a green future and living responsibly toward the environment and community—the Party Cell of the Faculty of Finance & Banking actively participated with a video titled “Sharing Knowledge – Cultivating Humanistic Values,” leaving a deep impression through practical, educational, and humanistic actions.
In the video narration, a representative of the Party Cell movingly quoted the late General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong: “Human happiness does not lie merely in wealth and fine clothes, but also in the richness of the soul—living among affection and kindness, righteousness and fairness.”
That saying has become the guiding compass for all of the Party Cell’s activities—from lectures rich in life values to tireless charitable footsteps. For the Party Cell, “green action” is not only about a green environment or green economy, but also greenness in the soul, lifestyle, and mindset—nurturing kindness, fairness, and a sense of responsibility toward the community.
Over the years, lecturers and students in the Party Cell have quietly but persistently kindled the flame of compassion through meaningful activities: contributing funds to build “Great Solidarity” houses; visiting and honoring Vietnamese Heroic Mothers; giving gifts to martyrs’ families and the poor; supporting children with disabilities and those in difficult circumstances; visiting young patients at Children’s Hospital; providing meals to the homeless; together cleaning streets; and keeping the environment clean and beautiful. These seemingly small deeds are indispensable pieces of a humanistic green‑action picture.
Although the contest limits videos to 2–5 minutes and allows a maximum of 20% archival footage, with initiative and creativity, the Party Cell’s lecturers and students carefully curated content, filmed at the lush Long Truong campus, and paired it with gentle yet profound narration—true to the simple and humanistic lifestyle associated with the late General Secretary.
Winning the Audience Choice Award from HTV is not only a source of pride but also vivid proof of the spreading power of things born from the heart. What is sincere touches other hearts—and that is the spirit the Party Cell strives to preserve and pass on. This is also a motivation for the collective to continue sowing green seeds—from thought to action.
Attending the Awards Gala and 5‑year program summary at HTV, the Party Cell once again affirmed the image of teachers and students at the University of Finance & Marketing: not only imparting knowledge but also igniting a beautiful, useful way of life for the young generation. Their work does not stop at a contest; it is a steadfast journey of sowing love, nurturing awareness, and building a humanistic community that remains green and sustainable.
