The Party cell of the School of Financial and Banking Technology holds a thematic meeting for the third quarter of 2026
On the afternoon of August 25, 2026, the Party cell of the School of Financial and Banking Technology, University of Finance – Marketing (UFM) held a thematic meeting for the third quarter of 2026 under the theme “Leading by example and fostering development: The pioneering role of officials, lecturers, and party members of the School in UFM’s 50-Year Journey”. The meeting took place at the conference room of Mermaid Seaside Hotel in Vung Tau Ward, Hochiminh City, with the participation of party members and youth union members of the School.
Held as part of activities marking the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the University of Finance – Marketing (1976–2026), the thematic meeting provided an opportunity for party members and staff to reflect on the University’s 50-year tradition of development while strengthening awareness of the pioneering role, exemplary responsibility, and commitment of officials, party members, and lecturers in the School’s new phase of development.

The thematic meeting focused on reflecting on the 50-year tradition of building and developing the University of Finance – Marketing, while emphasizing the responsibility of officials, Party members, and lecturers to preserve and promote the core values of “Unity – Responsibility – Creativity – Development.” These values serve as an important foundation for individuals to strengthen their sense of responsibility, proactively pursue innovation, and contribute to the development of both the School and the University.

The discussion placed particular emphasis on the exemplary role of officials, party members, and lecturers in teaching, scientific research, digital transformation, training, and student support. It also connected these responsibilities with Ho Chi Minh’s thoughts on the responsibilities of officials and revolutionary ethics. Through this discussion, participants were encouraged to further strengthen their sense of responsibility, embrace innovation, and improve the quality and effectiveness of their work in the context of university autonomy and digital transformation.
The spirit of leading by example should be reflected not only in awareness but also in concrete actions in everyday professional activities. In teaching, this means taking responsibility for improving the quality of instruction, innovating teaching methods, and continuously updating professional knowledge. In scientific research, it involves maintaining academic rigor, fostering creativity, and enhancing research quality. In digital transformation, it requires the proactive application of technology in teaching, research, and university administration. In student support, it means demonstrating a strong sense of responsibility, accompanying students throughout their learning journey, and creating favorable conditions for their comprehensive development.

The thematic meeting also provided an opportunity for Party members and staff to exchange views and discuss practical solutions for innovating teaching methods, improving the quality of scientific research, promoting technology adoption and digital transformation, and enhancing student support. These discussions helped translate the spirit of leading by example into concrete responsibilities associated with each individual’s professional duties, while contributing to the improvement of the School’s activities and the implementation of the development orientation of both the School and the University.
Against the backdrop of significant changes in higher education, particularly the growing demands for university autonomy, digital transformation, and innovation, strengthening the pioneering role of officials, Party members, and lecturers has become increasingly important. Each individual is expected to continuously enhance their professional competence, sense of responsibility, and adaptability while actively contributing new ideas and practical solutions to teaching, research, and student services.

The third-quarter thematic meeting of 2026 contributed to raising awareness of the responsibility to lead by example, the pioneering spirit, and the commitment of Party members and officials. Through these efforts, each individual can further promote the values of unity, responsibility, creativity, and development, translating the spirit of leading by example into concrete actions and professional responsibilities, thereby contributing to the continued development of the School of Financial and Banking Technology and the University of Finance – Marketing.
As UFM celebrates the 50th anniversary of its establishment, promoting the pioneering and exemplary roles of officials, party members, and lecturers is not only a continuation of the values cultivated by previous generations but also an important responsibility for shaping the University’s next stage of development.
