The Party cell of the School of Financial and Banking Technology holds a thematic meeting on strengthening political courage, exemplary responsibility, and discipline in speech among party members in accordance with Regulation no. 19-QĐ/TW
On the afternoon of September 3, 2026, at Room A302, 778 Nguyen Kiem Campus, the Party cell of the School of Financial and Banking Technology, University of Finance – Marketing (UFM), held its September 2026 thematic meeting entitled “Strengthening political courage, exemplary responsibility, and discipline in speech among party members of the School in accordance with Regulation no. 19-QĐ/TW.” The meeting was attended by Party members of the School.
The thematic meeting aimed to disseminate and deepen understanding of the key provisions of Regulation No. 19-QĐ/TW, dated April 8, 2026, issued by the Central Committee on political and ideological work within the Party, as well as Plan No. 24-KH/ĐU of the Party committee of the University of Finance – Marketing on the dissemination, study, and implementation of Regulation No. 19-QĐ/TW. The activity sought to strengthen awareness, responsibility, political courage, organizational discipline, and the spirit of leading by example among officials and Party members in fulfilling their assigned duties.

Speaking at the meeting, Nguyen Thi My Linh, Secretary of the Party cell, emphasized that political and ideological work is a top priority in Party building. She stressed that each official and Party member should regularly engage in self-study and self-discipline, maintain a firm ideological stance, strengthen political courage and awareness of organizational discipline, and uphold exemplary responsibility. She also highlighted the importance of linking the implementation of Regulation no. 19-QĐ/TW with professional responsibilities and practical activities at the School and the University.

At the meeting, Party members were briefed on the key contents of Regulation No. 19-QĐ/TW, including the requirement to uphold the “Four steadfast commitments”: steadfastness in Marxism–Leninism and Ho Chi Minh thought; steadfastness in the goal of national independence and socialism; steadfastness in the Party’s reform and renewal policies; and steadfastness in the Party’s organizational principles and methods of operation. These principles provide an important foundation for Party members to maintain political steadfastness, remain resilient in the face of difficulties and challenges, and proactively contribute to safeguarding the Party’s ideological foundation in the new context.
The thematic content also highlighted Party members’ responsibilities in studying, understanding, and implementing Party resolutions; ensuring consistency between their understanding, statements, written communications, and actions; and strictly observing regulations on speech and the provision and use of information. In the context of the rapid dissemination of information through digital platforms, Party members were encouraged to exercise caution when posting, sharing, or commenting online, avoid disseminating false, unverified, or harmful information, and proactively promote accurate, official, and constructive information.
The meeting featured three thematic presentations focusing on key provisions of Regulation No. 19-QĐ/TW and the responsibilities of Party members in the higher education environment.
The first presentation, “Maintaining political resolve and upholding the ‘Four steadfast commitments” among Party members in the current context,” focused on clarifying the responsibilities of officials and Party members to remain loyal to the Party, the Fatherland, and the People; uphold the Party’s ideological foundation; remain steadfast in the face of difficulties and challenges; proactively promote positive information; and participate in safeguarding the Party’s ideological foundation. For Party members who are lecturers, political steadfastness is also reflected in a serious and responsible approach to teaching, scientific research, and the performance of assigned duties.

The second presentation, “Exemplary responsibility, public-service ethics, and professional conduct among Party members in the university environment”, emphasized the responsibility of lecturers and staff to cultivate professional ethics, appropriate conduct, and a strong sense of responsibility. It also highlighted the importance of maintaining honesty, humility, and simplicity; upholding standards of professional conduct; and promoting the role of leading by example. Exemplary conduct should be reflected through specific and consistent actions in teaching, scientific research, management, student support, and efforts to build a healthy and positive educational environment.

The third presentation, “Discipline in speech, responsible use of social media, and the responsibility of Party members to promote positive information,” focused on Party members’ responsibilities regarding speech and the provision and sharing of information, particularly in the digital environment. The discussion contributed to raising awareness of the need for civilized and responsible use of social media, strengthening the ability to identify misleading and unverified information, and promoting the role of Party members in disseminating accurate and constructive information. It also emphasized their responsibility to contribute to informed public awareness and a positive educational environment.

Following the presentations, Party members of the cell actively exchanged views, engaged in discussions, and related the topics to the practical implementation of their responsibilities at the School of Financial and Banking Technology. The discussions focused on improving the quality of political self-study and self-cultivation; promoting a spirit of leading by example; observing discipline in speech; using social media responsibly and in accordance with regulations; and integrating political and ideological work into teaching, scientific research, management, and student support.
Through these discussions, each Party member gained a deeper understanding of their responsibility to maintain a firm ideological stance, cultivate ethical qualities, strengthen awareness of organizational discipline, and proactively prevent manifestations of political, ethical, and lifestyle deterioration. The implementation of Regulation No. 19-QĐ/TW should go beyond raising awareness and be translated into concrete attitudes, behaviors, and performance in carrying out the responsibilities and duties of each official and Party member.

The September 2026 thematic meeting contributed to enhancing Party members’ understanding of the position and role of political and ideological work in Party building, while reinforcing their political stance, sense of responsibility, commitment to leading by example, and discipline in speech. The meeting also provided an opportunity for Party members to reflect on their own conduct, make necessary adjustments, and proactively relate the provisions of Regulation No. 19-QĐ/TW to their assigned responsibilities and duties.
The outcomes of the meeting provide a basis for the Party cell of the School of Financial and Banking Technology to continue improving the quality of political and ideological work and Party Cell activities, strengthen inspection and supervision, and build a contingent of Party members with strong political commitment, integrity, exemplary conduct, and a high sense of responsibility. These efforts will contribute to strengthening the Party cell and supporting the continued development of the School and the University of Finance – Marketing.
