FINAL ROUND – STUDENT SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH COMPETITION, FACULTY OF FINANCE & BANKING (2nd Edition, 2025)

On May 17, 2025, at the District 7 campus of the University of Finance - Marketing, the Final Round of the "Student Scientific Research" Competition 2025 organized by the Faculty of Finance - Banking officially took place, gathering the 6 best research topics to enter the final round of competition. Along with the success of the program is the companionship and dedicated support from the sponsors VCB Bank, Ky Dong branch and Smart Train Academy Company Limited and the teachers of the Faculty of Finance - Banking. In addition, the event was successfully organized and spread to a large number of students who are passionate about scientific research, with more than 500 students attending directly in the hall, not to mention the organizing role of the Faculty of Finance - Banking.

The “Student Scientific Research” Competition organized by the Faculty of Finance & Banking is an annual activity that promotes research spirit and creativity among students while enabling access to highly academic learning and working methods. This second edition attracted nearly 90 student teams with diverse topics spanning finance, banking, business, and applied economics.

The ceremony honored the presence of the University Board of Rectors, the Youth Union, lecturers of the Faculty of Finance & Banking, the competition’s judging panel, representatives of the Student Association, as well as many supervisors and research teams.

In addition, the Organizing Committee would like to acknowledge and thank Vietcombank Ky Dong Branch for their support and sponsorship, along with scholarships and meaningful gifts from SmartTrain Academy Company Limited, contributing to the success of the program.

All submissions were rigorously evaluated by the Faculty Council based on novelty, applicability, and scientific methodology. After Round 2, six standout teams advanced to the final. In addition, four other topics received consolation prizes and, together with the top six, will represent the Faculty at the University‑level round and may be considered for higher‑level competitions such as the Eureka Awards or Ministry‑level contests.

In the final, teams present their results before an expert council and prepare supporting products such as intro videos, summary posters, and presentation slides. Awards include First, Second, Third, and Consolation Prizes with cash rewards and sponsored scholarships. Teams whose research is published in reputable journals will receive financial support from the Faculty.

The competition is not only a venue for students to demonstrate research capability but also an important springboard for those oriented toward academia and innovation in the future.
