Faculty of Finance & Banking achieved outstanding results with 11 awards at the 10th National
The 10th National Student Scientific Research Competition “Olympics in Econometrics & Applications” in 2025—an esteemed academic playground co‑organized by the Vietnam National Student Association and the Academy of Finance—concluded successfully, attracting hundreds of topics from universities and academies in Vietnam and abroad. This year, the Faculty of Finance & Banking (UFM) affirmed its academic standing with a total of 11 awards, with many topics reaching the Final Round and receiving high evaluations from the expert council.
Participating topics focused on applying mathematical and econometric models to analyze and address real socio‑economic issues. After months of implementation, the Faculty’s student teams passed the preliminary round with highly rated submissions, showcasing strong research ability, data exploitation, quantitative modeling, and sharp scientific reasoning. In the June 2025 Final Round, the Faculty’s representative teams were honored among the top topics and presented their research directly before the national jury. The overall result: 11 awards, including 01 Second Prize, 03 Third Prizes, and 07 Consolation Prizes.
Success at the Competition stems from clear orientation and effective support from the lecturers—especially the supervisors’ dedicated guidance—together with students’ continuous effort and research passion. This is strong evidence of the Faculty’s training quality, innovation spirit, and scientific‑research orientation in the integration and development period.
The “Olympics in Econometrics & Applications” is held annually to inspire scientific research among students, encourage applying theory to practice, and help build a generation that is dynamic, creative, logical, and capable of problem‑solving.
The impressive result of 11 awards this year is not only a source of pride for participating teams but also a motivation for the Faculty to further promote academic spirit and strengthen the linkage between teaching – research – practice. The Faculty of Finance & Banking will continue to accompany and facilitate students to maximize their potential in national and international academic arenas.
