To enhance political and ideological awareness among cadres and Party members regarding studying and following Ho Chi Minh’s thought, morality, and style on caring for people’s livelihoods—and to meet the need to research and apply Ho Chi Minh’s thought to daily life and work—the Party cells of the Faculty of Finance & Banking, the Academic Affairs Office, and the Office of Scientific Management – International Education Institute under the Party Committee of the University of Finance & Marketing coordinated with the People’s Committee of Tan Binh Commune, Tan Tru District, Long An Province to organize a “return to the roots” program and a special-topic session on 04/09/2024 at the Vam Nhut Tao Relic Site themed: “Studying and following Ho Chi Minh’s thought, morality, and style on caring for people’s livelihoods.” The activity helped raise awareness and concretize the study and practice of Ho Chi Minh’s thought, morality, and style—especially on caring for people’s lives—in close connection with the political tasks of each unit and individual.

Beginning the “return to the roots” program, the Party cells visited the Vam Nhut Tao Relic Site, which commemorates national hero Nguyen Trung Truc’s resounding victory in burning a French ship. After the flag‑salute and moment of silence, Party members offered incense at the memorial temple to Hero Nguyen Trung Truc. The visit further strengthened awareness of courage and patriotism, and underscored the importance of cultivating moral qualities and actively contributing to building a strong and prosperous nation.

During the special-topic session, the People’s Committee of Tan Binh Commune expressed pleasure in welcoming the Party cells to the relic site for the event. In acknowledgment of the warm support from the People’s Committee and the site’s management board, Comrade Le Trung Dao—representing the University Party Committee and the Party cells—conveyed deep gratitude to the local authorities.

In addition, responding to the 2024 theme “Studying and following Ho Chi Minh’s moral example on practicing democracy, strengthening the rule of law, ensuring discipline; and attracting dedicated, high‑quality human resources to build a civilized, modern, compassionate City,” the Party cells implemented a model of “Sharing love with disadvantaged circumstances,” inspired by Ho Chi Minh’s revolutionary moral example. Under this model, Party members, lecturers, and staff were mobilized to contribute funds to present 10 gifts to disadvantaged children in the locality, each including cash and school supplies for the 2024–2025 academic year.

This was a highly meaningful trip that left a deep impression on the Party cells of the Faculty of Finance & Banking, the Academic Affairs Office, and the Office of Scientific Management – International Education Institute under the Party Committee of the University of Finance & Marketing. Through the special-topic session, Party members were thoroughly informed about the Party’s and State’s guidelines and policies, and further encouraged to continue studying and following Ho Chi Minh’s thought, morality, and style.

Below are some photos from the trip.
