The School of Financial and Banking Technology strengthens connections with businesses and supports students on their career journeys
As the labor market places increasingly high demands on the quality of human resources, strengthening university–industry connections play a crucial role in student training, career guidance, and professional development. Beyond acquiring specialized knowledge in the classroom, students need opportunities to gain practical exposure, understand labor market expectations, and gradually develop the essential skills required to enter the professional workforce.
Committed to aligning academic training with practical applications, the School of Financial and Banking Technology (IBFT), University of Finance – Marketing, organized the 4th Recruitment Fair (2026). The event provided a platform for direct interaction between students and a wide range of financial institutions, including banks, securities firms, and finance-sector enterprises, offering more than 600 job and internship opportunities.
The event was attended and supported by numerous organizations, including:
- Units from the Ho Chi Minh City Development Joint Stock Commercial Bank (HDBank);
- Units from the Military Commercial Joint Stock Bank (MB Bank);
- Units from the Vietnam International Bank (VIB);
- Units from Nam A Commercial Joint Stock Bank (Nam A Bank);
- Units from the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Foreign Trade of Vietnam (Vietcombank);
- Units from Modern Vietnam Bank (MBV);
- Rong Viet Securities Corporation;
- Chailease International Leasing Co., Ltd.;
- MB Securities Joint Stock Company (MBS); and
- Vietcap Securities Company.
The participation of organizations from different segments of the finance and banking ecosystem provided students with broader access to the labor market. Through direct interaction and networking activities, students had opportunities to learn about workplace environments, recruitment requirements, and career positions, as well as the knowledge and skills expected of young professionals.
The event also enabled students to engage directly with corporate representatives and explore internship and employment opportunities aligned with their career aspirations. Direct interaction with recruiters provided valuable career insights and a clearer understanding of labor market expectations, enabling students to develop appropriate plans for their studies, professional training, and personal development while still at university.

Speaking at the event, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi My Linh, Director of the School of Financial and Banking Technology, emphasized the importance of industry connections in the education and development of students. Strengthening collaboration between the university and the business community not only brings professional practice closer to students but also expands opportunities for them to gain practical experience, undertake internships, interact with recruiters, and better prepare for entering the workforce.

At the event, participating organizations shared valuable information about their operations, working environments, and human resource needs in the finance and banking sector. Through direct interactions with corporate representatives, students gained a better understanding of different job positions, recruitment criteria, and specific expectations regarding professional knowledge, job-related skills, adaptability, and workplace attitudes.
The corporate networking area also provided an opportunity for participating organizations to connect more closely with the pool of young talent being trained at the School of Financial and Banking Technology. At the same time, it enabled organizations to introduce their corporate profiles, working environments, and recruitment needs to students, thereby contributing to closer alignment between the Institute’s training activities and the practical requirements of the labor market.

In addition to recruitment and networking activities, interactive sessions and presentations delivered by participating organizations provided students with practical insights and career guidance directly from industry professionals. These exchanges offered students a clearer perspective on potential career paths after graduation while highlighting the importance of proactively gaining practical experience, developing professional skills, and building career competencies at an early stage.
Bringing together banks, securities firms, finance companies, and recruiters at a single event helped establish a practical bridge connecting the academic institution, businesses, and students. Beyond expanding employment opportunities, the fair enabled students to explore diverse career pathways within the finance and banking sector and identify directions that align with their abilities, interests, and personal development goals.
The 4th School of Financial and Banking Technology Recruitment Fair (2026) exemplifies the Institute’s commitment to strengthening university–industry collaboration. Through the participation of partner organizations, the gap between academic knowledge and professional practice is gradually being narrowed, while students gain valuable opportunities to learn, acquire practical experience, undertake internships, and engage with the labor market during their studies.
Moving forward, the School of Financial and Banking Technology will continue to strengthen collaboration with organizations and enterprises in the finance and banking sector. The aim is to foster a training environment closely connected with professional practice and create greater opportunities for students to comprehensively develop their knowledge, skills, and professional competencies, thereby enhancing their readiness to meet the increasingly demanding requirements of the labor market.
