The program “Youth Ignites – Union & Association Cadres Steadfastly Lead the Way,” co‑organized by the Alumni Liaison Committee (ALC) and the Faculty Youth Union – Student Association (Finance & Banking), took place on 19 May 2024 at Lobby A, Nguyen Kiem campus, University of Finance & Marketing, and concluded with resounding success. The program aimed to promote Union–Association spirit across the student body, fostering a dynamic, creative, and inspiring learning and working environment; while encouraging continuous learning and striving to maintain solidarity among students.

Guests in attendance included: more than 30 alumni of the Faculty of Finance & Banking from various cohorts.

From the University of Finance & Marketing: Vice Rector Dr. Le Trung Dao; Dr. Nguyen Thanh Hai – Head of Student Affairs; and MSc. Nguyen Tien Khoi – Secretary of the University Youth Union.

From the Faculty of Finance & Banking, University of Finance & Marketing: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi My Linh – Dean; Dr. Tran Thi Thanh Nga – Head of Monetary Finance & Insurance; Dr. Tran Thi Kim Oanh – Deputy Head of Monetary Finance & Insurance; and Dr. Nguyen Minh Phuc – Deputy Head of Corporate Finance; together with lecturers and many students representing class committees, the Faculty Youth Union Executive Committee, and the Faculty Student Association.

The “Igniting Union–Association Cadres” program connected and inspired former Executive Committee members of the Faculty Youth Union – Faculty Student Association to engage with current class leaders and Committee members. Distinguished guests included:

  • Mr. Nguyen Tran Thien – former member of the Faculty Youth Union Executive Committee; now Head of Transport Service Project Management, GRAB Co., Ltd.
  • Ms. Ho Phuong Anh – collaborator supporting Union–Association affairs, Faculty of Finance & Banking; now Co‑founder of “Gờ” Café chain.
  • Mr. Bui Ke Ton Hau – collaborator supporting Union–Association affairs, Faculty of Finance & Banking; now Sales Department Director, Vietnam International Bank (VIB).
  • Ms. Nguyen Ngoc My – former Executive Committee member, Faculty of Finance & Banking; now Head of Anti‑Money Laundering, Digital Bank Vikki by HB Bank.
  • Ms. Giang Thi Phuong – former Secretary of Youth Union cell 10DNH03; now Head of Sales Management Section, Head Office Sales Management Department, HDBank.
  • Mr. Ngo Minh Nhut – former Executive Committee member, Faculty of Finance & Banking; now Head of Recruitment Consulting, Enterprise Management Software JSC.

In the opening remarks, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi My Linh – Dean of the Faculty – emphasized the importance of the Alumni Liaison Committee in general and the Faculty’s ALC in particular; expressing gratitude and encouragement to the many alumni who have consistently accompanied the Faculty and University in numerous activities, delivering positive results.

Throughout the talk show, participating students had the opportunity to interact directly with the guests on challenges in Union–Association activities, how to overcome difficulties, and ways to maintain motivation. As former Executive Committee members, the guests not only shared valuable first‑hand experiences but also conveyed positive messages—encouraging students to keep striving, maintain discipline in all circumstances, and sustain the flame of enthusiasm for Union–Association work.

Through the program, the Faculty Youth Union and Faculty Student Association hope to find new “flames” among class committees, encouraging students to become integral members of the next generations of Executive Committees. It is also hoped that the experiences and lessons from “Youth Ignites – Union–Association Cadres Steadfastly Lead the Way” will be a strong source of motivation, helping class leaders become more confident in their studies and in leading Youth Union and Student Association cells to grow stronger.

The Faculty Youth Union and Faculty Student Association Executive Committees also extend heartfelt thanks to alumni who accompanied the program and helped make it a success.

To encourage students who are passionate about Union–Association activities and wish to join the common house, Mr. Nguyen Tran Thien sponsored five vouchers worth 5 million VND from GRAB Co., Ltd. for the program.
