UFM Investor is one of the most prominent events in Finance & Banking, organized by the Investor Club under the Faculty of Finance & Banking, University of Finance & Marketing. It is an academic playground for students passionate about finance and investment, where they can challenge themselves, learn, and practice essential professional skills. With each season, UFM Investor continuously improves its scale, quality, and professionalism, affirming its prestige and influence among finance students in Ho Chi Minh City.

With 813 contestants from 26 universities across Ho Chi Minh City, the competition attracted broad participation, creating a rich environment for exchange and learning. Beyond theory, the contest challenges strategic thinking and practical investment skills through appealing rounds that require agility and sharpness in simulated real‑world financial scenarios—demonstrating its strong appeal for finance‑enthused youth.

With participation from many universities, the competition serves as a bridge for young people to connect, exchange experiences, and build a community of finance‑passionate students willing to share and support one another. It also opens opportunities for sponsors and businesses to access and discover new talent. UFM Investor further connects students with recruiters, securities firms, and major investment groups—expanding networks and practical exposure.

Competition Rounds and Format

 

  • Round 1: Online multiple‑choice test (50 questions – 60 minutes).
  • Round 2: Live trading.
  • Round 3: Grand Finale.

At the Grand Finale, the best contestants tackle complex investment scenarios, applying the knowledge and skills they have learned to make optimal investment decisions. This is an opportunity to showcase themselves before distinguished guests and corporate leaders, and to learn from senior practitioners and experts in finance.

Competition Prize Structure

The prize structure of UFM Investor recognizes and encourages contestants’ efforts. Details are as follows:

1. 06 Encouragement Awards: For contestants with notable performance who did not reach higher prizes. Each worth 500,000 VND (total 3,000,000 VND) plus sponsor gifts.

2. 01 Consolation Prize: 3,000,000 VND in cash plus sponsor gifts, for a contestant with strong results who did not make the top 3 overall.

3. 01 Third Prize: 5,000,000 VND in cash plus sponsor gifts, awarded to the contestant with outstanding performance placing third.

4. 01 Second Prize: 7,000,000 VND in cash plus sponsor gifts, recognizing exceptional effort and financial‑analysis ability of the runner‑up.

5. 01 First Prize: The highest award, including 12,000,000 VND in cash plus valuable sponsor gifts—honoring the top contestant who excelled across all rounds.

UFM Investor is accompanied and sponsored by reputable partners in finance and education, creating a prestigious prize and an attractive playground for contestants. Yuanta Vietnam Securities is the diamond sponsor, providing practical financial support and contributing significantly to the competition’s success. The contest also receives sponsorship from Smart Train, which enhances prize value and enables students to develop essential skills. Media partners such as Sponsorship Channel, Vietstock, and iVolunteer Vietnam help disseminate information widely to students and the finance community.

 

The UFM Investor Grand Finale is the most anticipated event, not only for contestants but also for distinguished guests. The Investor Club was honored to welcome leaders of the University of Finance & Marketing, including the Board of Rectors, Faculty leadership, and lecturers of the Faculty of Finance & Banking. Also in attendance were leaders from major securities companies and investment groups such as Rong Viet Securities, New World Group, and other financial institutions—enhancing the prestige of the finale and offering contestants chances to impress potential employers.

UFM Investor delivers practical value to students—training strategic thinking, analytical skills, and problem‑solving in real‑world financial contexts.
