Science and Technology (S&T) activities always play an important role in training at higher‑education institutions. On the morning of 16/05/2025, the University of Finance & Marketing organized the “Summary of Science & Technology Activities 2020–2024” Conference in Room A.302 at the District 7 campus. The event gathered many experts and researchers inside and outside the University. This activity celebrated Vietnam Science & Technology Day (18/5), assessed S&T task implementation, and honored individuals and collectives with outstanding results—among which the Faculty of Finance & Banking achieved many excellent achievements during 2020–2024.

The conference opened with remarks by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Quoc Viet – Vice‑Rector – who emphasized the importance of S&T activities in realizing the University’s Development Strategy for 2025–2030.

Next, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Huynh Thi Thu Suong – Head of the Office of Science Management & International Cooperation – presented the Summary Report on S&T activities for 2020–2024 and outlined directions for S&T development in the coming period. Notably, the number and quality of research projects at the University improved significantly.

According to statistics on completed institutional‑level research projects for 2020–2024, the Faculty of Finance & Banking led the University’s 10 faculties with 56 projects (nearly 30% of the total). Moreover, the Faculty’s project count rose sharply year by year, especially in 2023–2024 (from 15 to 22 projects per year), demonstrating strong specialization and a core team of lecturers driving the University’s S&T activities.

In addition, the Faculty’s compilation of teaching materials during 2020–2024 recorded outstanding achievements, with high volume, diversity, and consistent distribution across years—reflecting the Faculty’s proactiveness in updating learning resources, linking theory with practice, and meeting training needs.

Furthermore, pursuant to Decision No. 2217/QD‑DHTCM dated 03/12/2021 on encouraging strong research groups at the University, the strong research group “Innovation – Development,” led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi My Linh (Dean of the Faculty of Finance & Banking), was recognized as one of six strong research groups officially active at the University.

With these results in S&T activities, the Faculty of Finance & Banking was honored with collective and individual awards for the 2020–2024 period, including: collective commendation for outstanding S&T performance in 2024; individual commendation for outstanding S&T performance in 2020–2024 (Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ngo Thai Hung); collective commendation for outstanding S&T performance in 2020–2024; and recognition for a strong research group.

2) Commendation of individuals with outstanding achievements in S&T activities in the period 2020-2024 for Associate Professor, Dr. Ngo Thai Hung, lecturer of the Faculty of Finance and Banking.
