On 31/10/2014, the Faculty of Finance & Banking, University of Finance & Marketing (UFM), held a meeting and working session with representatives of the CFA Institute for the Asia–Pacific region at the Long Truong campus. The session not only aimed to strengthen international cooperation but also opened opportunities for UFM students to access in‑depth finance training programs that equip them with knowledge for the global labor market.

UFM was honored to welcome Ms. Florence Wong – Director of Partner & Client Solutions for the Asia–Pacific region, CFA Institute (USA).

Opening the session, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi My Linh, Dean of the Faculty of Finance & Banking, welcomed the delegates from the CFA Institute and Smart Train, and provided an overview of the University, the Faculty’s achievements, and future development potentials. She also highlighted UFM’s Long Truong campus with its modern, well‑equipped facilities that provide an optimal learning environment.

Following the Dean’s remarks, Dr. Nguyen Minh Phuc – Deputy Head of Corporate Finance – presented the similarities and “mapping” between the CFA Program and the University’s current curriculum. He noted that much of what UFM students study aligns with CFA content, forming a solid foundation for those pursuing the international charter in the future.

After Dr. Phuc’s presentation, Ms. Florence and Ms. Xuan Mui asked questions to better understand UFM’s teaching methods and specific courses. Both sides discussed the training “mapping” in detail, seeking optimal solutions to help students access advanced finance knowledge and prepare for the charter. Representatives of the CFA Institute and Smart Train addressed questions and clarified ways to integrate CFA content into UFM’s program, opening many opportunities for cooperation in enhancing training quality at UFM.

After the discussion, the CFA delegation and Faculty members toured the Long Truong campus, including the auditorium, library, modern classrooms, stadium, sports area, and canteen.

The meeting concluded successfully, marking an important step in linking UFM with the CFA Institute. The event not only affirmed UFM’s position in international education integration but also brought practical career opportunities for students through professional cooperation programs. The visit inspired the Faculty of Finance & Banking to further improve training quality and strive to become a trusted destination for those pursuing careers in finance.
